Hotel workers and guests experienced a scary situation that soon turned into a comical one over the weekend when police were called to remove a man for an extended bathroom break. According to The Salem News, staff at the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem, Massachusetts, were forced to call police on a man who entered a restroom "for an extended period of time and will not come out."

The night manager at the hotel called the police with the concern that the man may have been experiencing a health issue. Thankfully, the officers found the man snoozing away on the toilet, where he wasn't exactly causing harm to others, but certainly gave the hotel employees quite a scare.

The man, whose name was not given to the press, remained in the bathroom until nearly 2 A.M., when police finally roused him from his slumber. The man left peacefully and obviously was a bit embarrassed about the whole experience.

While this Massachusetts man certainly isn't one to emulate, there are times when you just need some shut eye. Where is the oddest place you've ever caught some z's?
