Designing a new or remodeled bathroom is an exciting process. After all, with a wide variety of bathroom vanities, faucets, bathtubs, showers and accessories now available at the click of a mouse, finding the perfect components to create the space of your dreams has never been easier.
While bathrooms were once designed primarily to be functional, most people now strive to create efficient, easy to use rooms that look great as well.
In fact, according to the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), vessel sinks have grown in popularity over the past year, with more than half of designers surveyed by the association saying they've used them in their projects.
These sinks are available in different shapes, materials and colors, which often make them a good choice for those who want to add an uncommon flair to their space.
"They are primarily used in powder rooms where you want to make a statement," bathroom designer Becky Worley recently told the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
While these sometimes bold sinks are popular, the NKBA found that traditional, under-mount sinks remain the most commonly-used option for bathroom designs.
