Whether you have a big or small bathroom, the trend of creating luxurious, retreat-like spaces continues.
"Spa-like master bathrooms are still strong," designer Lisa Peck recently told the Star Tribune. "People want a calming retreat from the world."
Peck told the newspaper that many are creating these relaxing bathroom retreats with high-end amenities including deep-soaking, whirlpool bathtubs, showers with multiple body sprays and heated floors and towel racks.
But those looking for a luxurious addition to their bathrooms may consider installing a rain shower head as a more affordable option.
These plumbing fixtures turn a regular shower into a spa-like experience. Instead of a high-pressure water flow that can sometimes be abrasive, a rain shower head gently cascades the water over the body.
"Washing under such rain showers is incredibly refreshing and you will step out feeling both invigorated and clean," according to NouveauBathrooms.com. "When compared to traditional shower heads, rain showers are more energy efficient as they disperse the water flow instead of just shooting it out. This way, less water is used and this will make the difference for your utility bills."
