When renovating your bathroom, it's mostly the major fixtures that get the most attention. From installing the toilet to the bathroom vanity, it's only natural to leave bathroom accessories as an afterthought. However, in the end, these accouterments are just as important in pulling the whole look of your bathroom together - plus they're practical and useful additions to any space!
A toothbrush holder, for example, can also add to the overall aesthetic of a bathroom. Because of this, a brushed steel square holder can be the perfect addition to a contemporary bathroom with metal detailing.
Other bathroom accessories like towel rings, towel bars and shelves are important to a bathroom space as well. Just make sure that they all have the same metal finish for a uniform look - after all, you wouldn't want a bronze faucet if your shelf is made from chrome.
In the end, bathroom accessories are practical additions to any bathroom, so try to put as much thought into choosing the right pieces as the major bathroom fixtures.

Great tips for storage in the bathroom! What's the best advice for attaching all these holders to a wall of bathroom tiles?
Best practice when drilling through tile is to use a carbide-tipped masonry bit, regular twist-drill bits can't cut through the fire-hardened glaze.
You'll also need to keep the bit from slipping off the glossy surface.
To help with that, put strips of masking tape on the tile in an X pattern. Then drill through the tape, drill through the tile and into the drywall. Just be sure to lighten pressure at the end to ensure a clean hole at the rear of the drywall or backer board to accommodate a hollow-wall fastener.
We find that Fischer wall fasteners and screws work best when installing accessories on tile.
Fresca accessories come prepackaged with Fischer screws and fasteners. It eliminates the guess work when choosing the correct fasteners for your bathroom accessory installation project.
